This journey takes you deep into the heart of a winter fairytale—through storybook villages, glowing medieval squares, candlelit alleys, and some of the world’s most iconic holiday markets. You’ll stand beneath the historic castle ruins in Heidelberg, marvel at the giant sparkling tree in Strasbourg, the “Capital of Christmas,” and get lost (in the best way) in the festive, illuminated streets of the Alsace region.
In the mountains and valleys, every stop feels like stepping inside a real-life snow globe. In the elegant spa town of Baden-Baden, you’ll enjoy a gourmet fondue lunch inside a cozy, private igloo right against the backdrop of the market lights. You’ll trade the half-timbered houses of France for the festive, lakeside magic of Basel and Zurich, where you can watch the famous “Singing Christmas Tree,” sip warm glühwein, and sample traditional Swiss raclette—all while staying in charming, boutique hotels located just steps from the markets so you can drop off your shopping hauls with ease.

This trip starts in Frankfurt Germany and ends in Bern Switzerland. We recommend flying in to FRA and out of ZRH.

Transfers & Flight Details
To receive the included arrival airport transfers, flight details must be submitted no later than 30 days before trip departure. After that time, guests will be responsible for arranging their own airport transportation.
Included airport transfers are available only on the official trip arrival date. If you plan to arrive early, we’re happy to help arrange additional transfers at an extra cost.
Because transfers are scheduled specifically around your submitted flight details, any last-minute flight changes may require a new transfer booking at the guest’s expense.

This tour ends in Bern, Switzerland- Departure transfer is reccomended by train between Bern & Zurich (train has a drop off inside the airport) or we are happy to arrange a private transfer for an additional cost

The Strasbourg Christmas Market dates back to 1570. It is one of the oldest in Europe, and is the oldest in France. Originally centered around Place Broglie, it has expanded to include over ten unique locations across the city. Strasbourg is one of Europe’s most famous Advent destinations, and this region inspired many modern Christmas traditions. This is a bucket-list market!
Proximity
One of our top priorities in designing this trip was choosing charming, historic hotels within walking distance of the Christmas Markets. We want you to have the freedom to experience the markets in daytime and at night, and be able to drop your shopping hauls at the hotel any time you like. This trip is all about the markets and we've done everything we can to maximize your time.
Fairytale
This itinerary is like stepping into a real-life Christmas fairytale. We will visit some of the most visually magical towns in Europe with half-timbered houses, candlelit alleys, castle views, and medieval squares. See the most magical villages and Christmas markets in Europe- all in one trip.
Iglu Fondue
In Baden-Baden we'll enjoy a gourmet fondue lunch in an igloo that overlooks the Christmas Market. With the surrounding music, lights, and festivity, it feels like dining inside a snow globe This is one of the most unique dining experiences of the German Christmas market season.
