Welcome to a week in the heart of the Ecuadorian Andes—where snow-capped volcanoes, crater-rim hikes, local cooking experiences, and soul-soothing hot springs come together in one perfectly curated adventure.
You’ll start in historic Quito, exploring its colonial streets and riding the famous TelefériQo for panoramic views over the Andes. Then we head deep into the highlands: walking the emerald rim of Quilotoa Lagoon, hiking at the base of mighty Cotopaxi, meeting local communities, and relaxing at a charming Andean hacienda. By the time we reach the natural thermal pools of Papallacta for two days of pure rejuvenation, you’ll understand why this region is considered one of the most magical pockets of South America.

Transfers & Flight Details
To receive the included airport transfers, flight details must be submitted no later than 30 days before trip departure. After that time, guests will be responsible for arranging their own airport transportation.
Included airport transfers are available only on the official trip arrival and departure dates. If you plan to arrive early or extend your stay, we’re happy to help arrange additional transfers at an extra cost.
Because transfers are scheduled specifically around your submitted flight details, any last-minute flight changes may require a new transfer booking at the guest’s expense.

We suggest that guests train in advance of this journey to maximize their enjoyment. Otherwise a moderate level of physical fitness should suit you for this trip. We do NOT climb to the top of Cotopaxi Summit, we are trekking around Cotopaxi National Park. Guided hikes can be adjusted to suit the group.

QUITO
Explore Quito’s historic Old Town, from ornate churches and colonial plazas to panoramic views at El Panecillo. Then visit the Intiñan Museum and Middle of the World Monument for fun equator experiments and the classic “one foot in each hemisphere” moment.

QUITO
Ride the Teleférico up Pichincha Volcano to 4,050 meters for sweeping views of Quito, its valleys, and the surrounding volcanoes. Then enjoy a hands-on cooking class at Claroscuro, a restored colonial house where you’ll prepare and savor your own Ecuadorian dishes.

QUILOTOA
Visit the stunning Quilotoa Lagoon, set inside an extinct volcanic crater, and hike along its rim for sweeping views of the shifting turquoise waters and surrounding Andean peaks. Afterward, enjoy a locally prepared lunch in the nearby village of Tigua, famous for its vibrant Andean artwork.

COTOPAXI
Discover Cotopaxi National Park, hiking around Limpiopungo Lake for views of wild horses, highland landscapes, and the towering snow-capped volcano. After lunch in the park, head back to your mountain lodge to unwind.

PASOCHOA
Hike through the lush cloud forest of the Pasochoa Wildlife Refuge, an extinct volcanic crater rich in native plants and birdlife. Afterward, continue to Papallacta, a mountain village famous for its scenic landscapes and thermal waters.

Day 7
DEPARTURE DAY
Enjoy a full day at Termas de Papallacta, choosing between spa treatments, thermal pools, or peaceful nature walks. In the afternoon, transfer back to Quito Airport for your international flight home.
