Fun Facts About zion

Utah's 1st

Zion was Utah's first National Park, established in 1919. Located in Southwestern Utah near the town of Springdale, where we'll be staying.

Shuttle Bus

The Zion Canyon Scenic Drive passes through the narrow canyon and traffic became an issue in the 90s. So the park developed a propane-fueled shuttle bus system in 2000.

Zion is an outdoor enthusiast's playground. From hiking to canyoneering and waterfalls to swimming holes, there's something for everyone!

Zion protects many archeological sites. Ancient markings and drawings on the rock, very old granaries, carved pathways, and more remain from inhabitants 10,000 years ago.
