Join Brooke & Val for a private group adventure of the Salkantay trail and Machu Picchu! This trek is definitely the best way to cross Machu Picchu off your bucket list. Our fully supported 45-mile trek along the Salkantay Trail stops at hot springs, coffee farms, and more en route to the ancient citadel.
We’ll spend two days in Cusco before the hike to acclimate to the altitude and one extra night at the end to relax and celebrate!
The trip begins and ends in Cusco (CUZ). There are often more flight options if you book to Lima (LIM) from your home city, and then book a domestic jumper from Lima to Cusco. We prefer LATAM for the domestic flights.

All trips are priced as double occupancy. When available, solo supplements may be offered. If you are traveling solo, it doesn’t mean you need to pay a solo supplement, we’re happy to pair you with a roommate whenever possible.

As soon as you put a deposit down for this trip, we begin submitting permits for Machu Picchu specifically with your name and passport information on them. Spots with our expedition operator and permits for Machu Picchu are non-refundable. Thus, we are not able to honor any refunds or transfers on this particular trip. Thanks for understanding.

150+ Buildings
Machu Picchu is made up of more than 150 buildings ranging from baths and houses to temples and sanctuaries.
Elevation
Located at 7,000 ft above sea level , Machu Picchu is one of the lowest elevation stops on this trip! We'll stay in Cusco at 11,152' and climb up to 15,000' over the Salkantay Pass.
Discovery
Machu Picchu was only known locally until a Yale Professor re-discovered the site in 1911. His book, The Lost City of the Incas, was based on his findings.
Well Preserved
Machu Picchu is one of the most well-preserved Inca cities and an archeological gem, as it wasn't destroyed during the Spanish Conquest like other ancient cities.
