Join us for a private Patagonia group hiking experience ! This 10-day itinerary starts in Santiago and ends in Punta Arenas with a 5 day hike on the famous W trek. We begin the hike in Torres del Paine, trek to Los Cuernos, explore the French valley, marvel at Grey Glacier, and finish with Paine Grande and Puerto Natales. It’s the ultimate itinerary for those who love hiking and experiencing nature to the fullest. You’ll have a local expert guide for the hike. Plus, our fabulous Legit Trips tour leader, Dani, who has been on this trek before.
This trip begins in Santiago with visits to Viña del Mar & Valparaiso. After two nights seeing the best the city has to offer, we’ll continue on to Patagonia and Torees del Paine. This is a curated 10-day trip with 5 days of hiking.
This trip starts in Santiago, Chile (SCL) and ends in Punta Arenas (you may want to fly back to Santiago and just book a RT flight to Santiago)
Domestic flights are not included.

Note: Passengers should be able to carry their personal belongings for the duration of the hiking program. We recommend using a 40-liter backpack. We offer luggage service in Puerto Natales for those who wish to leave belongings during their trek.

All trips are priced as double occupancy. When available, solo supplements may be offered. If you are traveling solo, it doesn’t mean you need to pay for a solo supplement, we’re happy to pair you with a roommate whenever possible.
After you pay your deposit, you may pay the balance anytime up to 90 days prior to trip departure, or we can set up equal monthly installments. Email us for payment options.

Deposits are non-refundable (but are transferable to another person or Legit Trip). Any additional payments can be refunded if canceled more than 90 days prior to the trip start date. Deposits may only be transferred one time and incur a $100 rebooking fee.

Fun Facts About PATAGONIA
Land vs People
Patagonia is about half of Chile and half of Argentina (over 650k miles in total) although it’s home to less than 5% of either country’s population. There’s A LOT of vast wilderness here, which really is a huge part of the attraction.
Giants
Magellan was the first European to set foot in Patagonia, in 1520. He met the Tehuelche natives & considered them to be giants ‘so tall that the tallest of us only came up to their waist’. The Tehuelches may not have been true giants but the fossils of the biggest dinosaur ever was found here.
Andes Mountains
The world’s longest mountain range spans across Patagonia from north to south, eventually cascading into the very cold waters of the Southern Ocean.
Animals
In total, Patagonia boasts nine national parks, each showcasing very distinct ecosystems and a very large array of wildlife, most of which is endemic to the region.
Day 1
ARRIVAL IN SANTIAGO
Transfer from Santiago Airport to hotel
Optional – Santiago City Tour followed by dinner with the spectacular live show of the South Pacific Islands, Chilean Folkloric and Orchestra to dance.

Day 2
VINA DEL MAR & VALPARAISO
Full day tour to Vina Del Mar and Valparaiso followed by a Winery tour at Casa Blanca Valley.

Day 3
FLIGHT TO PUNTA ARENAS
Flight to Punta Arenas (not included) Transfer to Puerto Natales
Evening at leisure.

Day 4
TORRES DEL PAINE
Arrival to Torres del Paine National Park. Today’s hike begins through the Ascencio Valley to reach the famous Base of the Towers lookout.
Approximately 13 miles

Day 5
LOS CUERNOS
Enjoy breakfast and then request your box lunch to start the walk in the depth of the park to Los Cuernos or Francés.
Approximately 8 miles

Day 6
FRENCH VALLEY
After breakfast get ready for a day of amazing Patagonian landscapes. Pass through the Francés campsite, and begin hiking to the French Valley.

Day 7
GREY
Today includes glimpses of the Southern Ice Field & icebergs in the Grey lake. At the end we will reach the Grey glacier lookout. Optional hike to the hanging bridges
Approximately 7 miles

DAY 8
PAINE GRANDE
Explore the spectacular panoramic views of the Grey glacier. Then, continue the same path back to Paine Grande to take the catamaran to Pudeto, where we will take the bus back to Puerto Natales.
Approximately 7 miles

Day 9
PUNTA ARENAS
Travel back to Punta Arenas
Day at leisure

Day 10
DEPARTURE DAY
Flight from Punta Arenas to Santiago / Outbound flight.
