During this online class, we’ll gather around our kitchens to learn some Balinese home cooking recipes from a local Balinese family. Get your phone, laptop, or tablet, and let’s make some delicious food together.
We’ll cook 3 different Balinese home recipes: GADO-GADO or vegetables with peanut sauce PERKEDEL JAGUNG or corn fritter NASI GORENG or Balinese fried rice
First, we’ll make fresh and healthy Gado-Gado, then Corn Fritter (kids will love this), and finally yummy Nasi Goreng. Each represents the delights of Balinese/Indonesian flavors—you’ll find these dishes in most Indonesian restaurants, and soon you’ll be able to make them at home.
We’ll walk you through each recipe step by step and give you tips and suggestions. While we help you learn how to cook Balinese food vegetarian-style, we’ll share stories about our lives in Bali.
