If you’ve always wanted to visit Machu Picchu but aren’t interested in the hike, this is your chance to explore Cusco and the beautiful Sacred Valley.
This trip begins and ends in Cusco (CUZ). There are often more flight options if you book to Lima (LIM) from your home US city, and then book a domestic jumper from Lima to Cusco separately.
Transfers & Flight Details: Flight details must be submitted at least 30 days before trip departure to receive included airport transfers. After that point, guests will need to arrange their own airport transportation.
Transfer are only included on the trip arrival and departure dates. Arriving early or staying late? Additional transfers can be arranged for an extra cost—we’re happy to help.

Most flights from the US will arrive in Lima late at night and require an overnight in Lima before a morning flight out to to Cusco the next day. So plan on October 10 as a travel day. Coming home, most flights will require an early departure from Cusco and will get you home same-day, so expect to arrive home on Oct 18th. There is an option to add an extra night in Cusco at the end of our trip, so if you stay in Cusco Oct 18th, you’d fly out on Oct 19th. Up to you!

All trips are priced as double occupancy. When available, solo supplements may be offered. If you are traveling solo, it doesn’t mean you need to pay a solo supplement, we’re happy to pair you with a roommate whenever possible.

As soon as you put a deposit down for this trip, we begin submitting permits for Machu Picchu specifically with your name and passport information on them. Spots with our trekking operator and permits for Machu Picchu are non-refundable. Thus, we are not able to honor any refunds or transfers of the deposit this particular trip. Balance payments can be refunded or transferred to a future trip. Thanks for understanding.

Machu Picchu
This modern world wonder and UNESCO World Heritage Site sits atop many a bucket list. And we'll do it the best way- with an early entry before everyone else gets there, and with a second-entry so you'll have plenty of time to sit in wonder of this magnificent place.
Vistadome Train
Hop aboard the train to Machu Picchu, journeying through the Sacred Valley. The vistadome car offers a luxurious experience to immerse yourself in the scenery of the Andes. Expansive windows and a transparent roof allow you to be close to nature, there's even an open-air balcony!
Inkaterra Hotel
This 5-star hotel occupies a private 12-acre mountainside reserve, just across from the Machu Picchu train station. The hotel is built like an Andean Village with waterfalls and stone paths. Enjoy the property, the spa, and more for a true 5-star stay.
Llamas
The cherry on top for this trip is a 2-night stay with llamas! The Mountain View experience offers insane views, a private hot tub outside your room, and resident llamas that will join us for dinner. There's nothing more Peruvian than chilling with llamas!

Hop aboard the luxurious vistadome train car and enjoy the spectacular scenery along the way to Aguas Calientes.

Day 4
MACHU PICCHU!
We’ll be up early to visit Machu Picchu at dawn. After our 2-hr guided tour of the citadel, you’ll enjoy the freedom of your 2nd entry permits to explore the site further.
In the afternoon we’ll board the Vistadome Train to Ollantaytambo.

OLLANTAYTAMBO
Morning excursion to local Archaeological Parks and Pisac Andean Market (a great spot to shop for souvenirs).
Peruvian Cooking Class for lunch- make a Pisco Sour, then dive into prepping Peruivan & Andean dishes.
Afternoon at leisure, explore the ruins on your own, town is very walkable.

Day 6
MARAS
Morning visit to Chinchero, the mythical birthplace of the rainbow, with weaving demonstration at non-profit textile center.
Visit to Maras salt mines.
Family style lunch at Unu Restuarant
Afternoon free to enjoy your hot tub.
Sunset Maras picnic dinner w/ llamas
Day 7
Choose your own adventure day!
Optional ATV or Horseback riding tour to explore the stunning landscape. (addtl cost)
Plenty of free time to enjoy the views, the llamas, and your hot tubs. Dinner incld.

DEPARTURES
2 transfer times from Maras to Cusco for departure flights. Schedule accordingly.
