This trip starts and ends in Bilbao, Spain (BIO) Option to fly into Madrid and extend extra nights there or stay longer in Bilbao.
Transfers & Flight Details:
To receive the included airport transfers, flight details must be submitted no later than 30 days before trip departure. After that time, guests will be responsible for arranging their own airport transportation.
Included airport transfers are available only on the official trip arrival and departure dates. If you plan to arrive early or extend your stay, we’re happy to help arrange additional transfers at an extra cost.
Because transfers are scheduled specifically around your submitted flight details, any last-minute flight changes may require a new transfer booking at the guest’s expense.

ECLIPSE
Expert-Led Eclipse Viewing with an Astrologer. The focal point of the trip is the total solar eclipse on August 12, 2026. Unlike a standard viewing, this experience includes a visit to the Aranzadi caves followed by a journey to the Vitoria/Navarra region. You will be accompanied by a local astrologer and enjoy a gourmet picnic while witnessing the "once-in-a-generation" celestial event.
LOCAL FOOD
In San Sebastián, the trip goes beyond a basic food tour. It includes an in-depth course on the local etiquette of navigating Basque bars. You’ll learn the specific cultural "secrets" of how to order and eat like a resident, with five pintxos and five drinks included to help you master the art of the Basque social scene.
WINE
The itinerary includes a day trip to the fishing villages of Zumaia and Getaria. This area is famous for its dramatic geological formations (the Flysch) and its role in the medieval Camino de Santiago route. The highlight of this day is a visit to a local organic winery to taste Txakoli—a unique, sparkling white wine native to the Basque Country—paired with freshly grilled fish.
TWO COUNTRIES
The trip features a unique cross-border excursion from Spain into France to visit Saint Jean de Luz and Hondarribia. This segment focuses on the colorful history of the Basque coast, covering stories of corsairs and pirates, and explores the specific culinary history of the region—including a look into the local origins of the famous macaron.

MAIN EVENT: TOTALITY AT CASA PRIMICIA
Free day to explore! Camino de Santiago hike, Basque cooking class, or take a bike tour.
Afternoon wine tasting and sunset picnic at Casa Primicia (Rioja Wine Region) before watching the rare sunset eclipse unfold. We’ll witness a full minute of totality from an exclusive vantage point with an unobstructed, panoramic view of the darkening sky.
