Why to choose Canggu on your next trip to Bali

In the past ten years, Bali has increasingly become one of the top travel destinations in the world. With several different types of beaches as well as some of the best surfing and scuba diving, it’s no wonder that everyone is flocking to this amazing country. So many reasons why you should visit Canggu, Bali on your next trip to Indonesia, follow along to learn more!

We’re starting with Canggu because, well, we LOVE it. In the past four years it’s gone from a town full of rice fields to a rad place full of surf enthusiasts, organic cafes, and digital nomads. Although we tend to prefer areas less developed, there’s this feeling you get when you’re in Canggu that makes you never want to leave. As entrepreneurs and digital nomads ourselves, it’s so interesting to be surrounded by like-minded people who are all looking for something more, to find a way of life that is outside the norm but still pursue anything and everything they’re passionate about. So besides the people, here are all of the things we love and recommend.

Where to eat. If you love eating healthy organic food, and even more if you’re vegan, you’ll have absolutely no trouble finding exactly what you’re looking for to eat. Also, for those late risers, or those like me who would eat breakfast for every meal, we found that most places sell breakfast all day so technically you can brunch every day of the week. (DREAMS DO COME TRUE!) Our favorites include – Gypsy Kitchen, Shady Shack, The Avocado Factory(yes, an entire cafe devoted to avocados), Milk & Madu, and The Slow. Also, if you’re looking for a little Texas/Mexico flare, Lacalita has a watermelon margarita and some zucchini quesadillas that definitely satisfied my craving for home.

Where to drink. You absolutely can’t go to Canggu without having a drink at Old Man’s. Go earlier in the evening just after sunset to avoid the crowds OR go later if you’re looking for a really fun night out. For sunset drinks head towards the beach – The Lawn, Sand Bar, and La Brisa are some of our favorites but the beach is lined with cute cafes and great views. For delicious cocktails and ambiance, check out The Back Room, Black Cat Mini Mart, and Deus Ex Machina.

Where to get a workout. One of our favorite parts of Canggu is the health conscious community. You can find a plethora of yoga studios, climbing gyms, regular gyms, and other group activities to stay fit while traveling. For favorites, we prefer The Practice for yoga, Canggu Nest for group fitness classes, and Bali Climbing for some indoor rock gym action.

“Howdy this is kind of of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding skills so I wanted to get advice from someone with experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated!”
